Aside from my language learning and study passions, my professional academic and working experience is rooted in the creative industries— specifically music. 

In my day-to-day, I am a music and marketing creative with a background in music production, audio recording, and songwriting. Between my postgraduate studies in Music, Management and Marketing, undergraduate studies in Music Production, and 10+ years of volunteer community outreach, I have refined a strong technical proficiency with history in drums and percussion, and an in-depth knowledge of Logic Pro X and Pro Tools coupled with harmonisation, arrangement, and mixing abilities. I have strong working experience in operational management, music marketing, and digital content strategy. 

My professional academic research interests focus around the popular music discipline, drawing upon areas of music marketing studies, sociology, and ethnomusicology. Specifically, I am interested in the growing fandom culture within the Korean popular music (K-pop) industry, and how music marketing is used to create parasocial relationships between artists and fans.
